The Tipping Point Coffee: Houston’s Hidden Gem for Vinyl Vibes & Exceptional Coffee

Loved finding this amazing little hidden gem right by the menil. Atmosphere is very cohesive with a music forward theme. They have records and magazines all over the store with a 'Now Playing' display that lets you know what you're currently listening to. There's also plenty of seating, indoors and out. Didn't try any food, but the drinks were great. The espresso was a bit acidic for my taste, but the flavor was good. Hot Matcha Latte had a distinct flavor, no grit, and a bright green. Surprising pick for one of the best matchas in the city.

Best coffee since I have been in Houston for the past few days. Better than the top rated coffee shops downtown! The coffee is great here! The place is v cool too with great music playing from vinals. The coffee shop looks like a bar; the vibe and energy are positive. Wish I had discovered it on day one of my visit... Next time I'll know.

Coffee is amazing, as well as the matcha. There’s several seasonal syrups on rotation at any given time, and drinks like the Espresso Tonic are such a refreshing and insanely genius take on getting your espresso fix. Regular or newcomer, coffee drinkers are always in good hands with David and can always expect a bright smile and the best service from Gladys.

We stopped by The Tipping Point during the SCA Expo weekend, where they teamed up with Proud Mary Coffee to host a kickoff breakfast event. We absolutely loved the food, the aesthetic, the attention to detail in the branding, and of course, the coffee. Everything was thoughtfully executed — well done!

Best coffee shop I’ve been to in a long while. Had a 12oz hot espresso with molasses which was perfect temperature and great flavor. The coffee and service are great but the atmosphere is what will be bringing me back a lot more in the future. Great music and vibes here

Found out about this coffee shop 7 years ago when they were in downtown, hospitality, atmosphere and most importantly the coffee was amazing. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in town and definitely recommend it to anyone who is willing to experience a REAL coffee shop! The owner and staff are also behind the bar and greet you with such amazing hospitality as if you were family. My favorite drinks are the blue magic(non caffeine) and a flat white with oat milk and molasses!
